BUILDING FOR THE FUTURE
Dear Brethren,
I have just returned from 3 weeks in the Philippines. We’ve conducted miracle crusades, visited our churches and taught in our Bible school. God has rewarded our efforts with many souls saved, believers encouraged, and students instructed.
However, we have reached a point with the condition of our house, which is inside our compound, where we must start the much needed renovation and repair. The pictures you see tell the tale. Our roof is now being covered with tarp to keep the rain out. Our gutters are old, rotten and useless. Our stairs, cabinets and doors are termite infested and coming apart – literally. Our walls and plumbing, both inside and outside, are full of holes and leaking. This building was built in 1987. We’ve done our best to take care of it, but time has taken its toll. We have no choice but to knock it down and rebuild it.
We are asking for your help to do this. You know us – we don’t live lavish lives. We do our best to use every dime and dollar for missions as effectively as possible. But this situation can’t be ignored any longer. The Lord has directed us to start the project, and we have done that, effective this month of August. Our engineer estimates the total cost of this project will be $165,000. As usual, we don’t have that money to work with. We start with just a few thousand dollars, and trust God to supply the balance of finances to keep things going to completion. Like all the other buildings we’ve built in this compound, we’re not borrowing money from some bank to pay for this – we trust God’s way of sowing and reaping.
If you can help, please pray and see what the Lord would have you do. I know you get appeal letters from many ministries, like we do. But you know us, and you’ve been part of our work for decades. Many of you have actually stayed in our house while visiting for ministry work. You know I’m not exaggerating this need. Can we count on you to come alongside with prayers and financial support? Here’s how you can help us rebuild our home in the Philippines, using any of these 4 options to send your designated support:
