GOD’S PLAN FOR SALVATION
The most important decision you will ever make in your life is the one that deals with your eternal destiny. In John 3:16, Jesus made this statement: For God so loved the world, that He gave His only son, that whoever believes in Him would not perish, but have everlasting life. God loves you my friend! He loves you so much, He sent His Son Jesus to die in your place, as your substitute, so that you would not have to perish and go to hell, but instead, receive salvation and eternal life with Him.
Today, right where you are, in whatever situations you find yourself, realize the fact that God loves you, and has already taken care of your sins, mistakes and failures. There are no sins, mistakes or failures standing between you and God now. Jesus died on a cross to take all your sins away, and now, all that stands between you and eternal life is a simple decision – the decision to let Jesus Christ be the Lord and Savior of your life. Its not hard – you don’t have to “clean up” first – God already knows all about you, and loves you anyway! He made the decision to love you and send His Son to die for your sins, in spite of whatever you’ve done, or however you’ve lived up to now. God is not wanting anyone to perish, but that all should come, repent and receive eternal life (1 Timothy 2:4, 2 Peter 3:9). That includes you – right now! Jesus invites anyone and everyone to come and receive the free gift of salvation. (Revelation 22:17) He stands at the door to every man’s heart, knocking and asking to come in. (Revelation 3:20) He is standing at the door to your heart right now, but only you can open the door!
Do that today! Right now! Don’t wait for some other time – some other time may never come. Jesus loves you, and has paid the price for all your sins, mistakes and failures. Come as you are to Him, in simple faith, and give your life to Him. Give all your concerns, sins, issues and fears to Him. Give him all your cares, because He cares for you! (1 Peter 5:7)
Wherever you are as you read this, take a few moments and offer up your heart and life to the Lord. Romans 10:9,10 tells us how to open the door of our hearts to the Lord, and let Him in. Its very simple, and its all by faith, not feelings! If a person believes in their heart that Jesus is God’s son, and that God raised him from the dead for their sins, then all that’s left to do is to offer their lives to Him, and decide to make Him the Lord and Savior of their lives, living for Him from this day forward. You can do that! Its not hard, but very simple! Pray this simple prayer right now – to the Lord. He’s listening, and will do exactly what you ask. Out loud, softly if you need to, say this prayer to the Lord. Don’t just think it, say it:
Dear Lord Jesus, I come to you today, believing you are the son of God, that you died on a cross for my sins, and that God raised you from the dead for my salvation. Therefore, I open the door to my heart, and invite you in. I give you my life today, ask you to forgive me from all my sins, and make you the Lord and Savior of my life. From this day forward, I belong to you Lord, and I will live for you, my Lord Jesus, all the days of my life. Thank you for loving me, dying for me, and for saving me from my sins. I am forgiven. I am now a child of God. I am yours, and you are mine! Amen!
